How to Calculate Markup

Markup % = ((Selling Price – Cost) / Cost) x 100
Example: Cost $60, Selling Price $100
Profit = $100 – $60 = $40
Markup = ($40 / $60) x 100 = 66.67%

How to Calculate Selling Price from Markup

Selling Price = Cost x (1 + Markup / 100)
Example: $60 Cost with 50% Markup
Selling Price = $60 x (1 + 50/100) = $60 x 1.50 = $90
